Now, you MIGHT be able, instead, to power and control the lights on those two case fans from the Aorus system by custom connecting them. Even if you could, that still would leave the Aorus RGB Fusion 2 tool as the only way to control the lights in the PUMP unit. So it is not clear whether you have an option to connect them to any mobo header for control by the mobo's software utility (probably would require some adapter to make the connections). From the manual's drawings it appears the lighting cable connectors on those fans are NOT the standard ones used by most ARGB lighting systems. So that is how Aorus intends to control the lights in their rad fans and their pump unit. In turn, that pump has a power supply connection from the PSU and a USB2 connection so that the Aorus RGB Fusion 2 utility (you download and install this) can send its control info to the pump.
BUT the manual for that AIO system indicates clearly that these fans' motors AND ARGB lighting connectors are supposed to be plugged into outputs from the AIO system pump.
The rad fans on the Aorus system also have ARGB lights in them so that's compatible. The ARGB lights in those fans have the common female connector on the ends of their cables, normally used to plug into a mobo ARGB header. As long as your mobo has that option available (many do), you'll be OK on that.
Controlling the speed of the 3-pin fan motors will require that you configure the mobo header for them to use the older DC Mode, not the new PWM Mode. There's potential here, but unanswered questions.įirst, the two front fans supplied with that case are 200 mm size with 3-pin motors and 3-pin ARGB lighting.
